PROJECT GOAL
Use all of your schema and background information from all that we've studied together about the Native Americans, the English Explorers, and about the English Settlers who began colonizing the New World (also known as American Colonization).
Take it to the next level by comparing and contrasting the children of the Colonial period with the children of today...Generation X (yes, that includes you!). With all the information you gather and analyze, you will draft, and then create a web page which displays the similarities and differences of the two time periods of which children have been such an important part.
Afterwards, we will discuss and reflect on this learning process.

Mrs. Narvaez
I am a 4th grade teacher at the American Nicaraguan School, located in Managua, Nicaragua. I have been teaching for 7 years, 5 of which I previously taught in my home state of Arizona. Having graduated from ASU in 2006, I don't recall having any particular training or preparation for teaching a child of the 21st century. Recognizing this deficit, I jumped right in unafraid to make mistakes, learning along with my students! This has been a great journey for me, and as I continue learning about the digital world, I will strive to engage my students into the reading and writing process through the digital platforms available on the web.
